Dated 1862 President Abraham Lincoln Silver Peace MedalThis medal has a bust of lincoln facing right and says abraham lincoln president fo the united states 1862. On teh trunk of the bust is embossed patented ellis. The reverse side has a plowing scene in the center, two indians scalping toward the top, and toward the bottom from left to right is shown a quiver filled with arrows, the head/face of a woman, a bow and peace pipe. The mdeal is 2 7/8 diameter and has a hanging loop generally put on the medal for indian use. The medal is silver but i don't know if it is sloid or plated. Collected on the prairie island dakota sioux indian reseravtion near red wing, minnesota. Postage/shipping/insurance is $6.60 us. Other countries inquire. |
